Ausplex has designed and manufactured custom electronics in Australia since 1985. Our work brings together thoughtful engineering and hands-on production, supporting businesses that need electronic systems built to a genuine standard.
What We Build
We design custom electronics and develop the embedded firmware that drives them. Alongside product design, we build fixtures and test systems that keep manufacturing accurate and repeatable.
Since 2009, we've also designed and manufactured the LightSwarm architectural model lighting system—work that reflects the precision our clients rely on.
We developed a complex lighting control system for Digital City in Saudi Arabia. This system consisted of over 300 separate control systems distributed across four buildings, driving 16,000 high brightness RGB LED lighting projects projecting 64,000 pixels of real-time video at 60hz onto the 16 building facades that were each 22 stores high

We’ve designed and manufactured several computer-controlled turntables. These precisely position a load of up to 130kg to within 1 degree of precision and allow electrical and communications signals to transfer through the rotating joint

Our client required a control system to manage the water levels and purging for a grey water system. We developed a microprocessor based embedded control module for their system.
Grey Water Tank Controller
This project was a combination of mechanical engineering, electronics design, and remote telemetry. The mobile rocket launch system consisted of a stabilized trailer that could be lifted off its wheels, articulating launch tower with a 16kN electric linear actuator and control system to raise and lower the trailer, 3-axis digital inclinometer, anemometer, multi-camera video monitoring system, microwave communications, and a telemetry monitoring system.

One of our early projects was the development of a fully automated 5-stage heating & air-conditioning control system. We provided hardware design and embedded firmware.
